Spike's Story...
Spike is a 2 year old Toy Australian shepherd. ( to me he looks like he has some papillon). The person that i got him from said he is a purebred toy Aussie. He.
is very energetic and very inquisitive. Spike is house trained and just like a small dog, loves to follow me around the house. always by my side.He would make a great family dog but not for kids under 10. The little minis and toys sometimes like to herd their family, but with training and patience they will be excellent dogs to take wherever you go.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spike, a Overland Park Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
