My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KAZAR is a 1 year old yellow neutered male Lab who weighs 88 pounds. He's looking for a wonderful family that will give him the love, attention and exercise that he deserves. Kazar is a very handsome and friendly boy that needs some TLC. He has lived on a porch for his entire life with not a lot of love and attention. He will benefit from the use of an easy walk harness as he gets excited to go on walks and can pull some. Kazar is good with other dogs and is very smart and eager to please so he will be easy to train. He is approved for kids aged 10+.

Update (8/06): Kazar has been doing well. He and his foster brother are playing daily and enjoy each other's company. Kazar has adapted to the crate. He now enters his crate and sits very nicely waiting for his treat. He has made great strides as he comes when called almost every time. Exceptions are when he is in full mode play, or he is up to no good, mostly acting like a puppy. He is such a lap dog and loves his belly rubs.

Aug 4, 2014: Kazar absolutely loves to play with other dogs! His skin is looking good and he is an energetic, loveable guy! See him playing here: http://youtu.be/DzRQdDk7vXA

Update (7/29): Kazar is doing very well in his foster home! He enjoyed hanging out at the house and meeting new people as they came by to do some work on the place. He has decided that he is going to be a lap dog, despite his size it is quite endearing. This guy just absolutely loves attention! What a sweetheart!

Update (7/28): Kazar is being fostered with another young playful lab and they are doing beautifully together! They chased each other in the yard for a few hours and then settled in for a nap. He is great with other dogs!

Update (7/16): Kazar went to Pets Mart with his foster and was excellent, he thought it was Doggy Disneyland! He had to meet and greet everyone with a happy tail, including several dogs. He was very curious about the little guinea pigs in the store! He is a very playful boy and was quick to adjust to his foster home. He has some knowledge of commands. He will sit for a treat and gives you his paw without asking. He absolutely loves to chase tennis balls (shocker!)

His LR evaluator said: "Kazar is very smart! He learned how to sit after three times knowing he would get pets from me. He is a beautiful boy. He deserves a better life than living on a porch."
