Benny's Story...
This cutie came to Paws for help because he was found walking the streets. We can not imagine that someone just dumped him because he is such a great dog. He has the biggest ears and the biggest smile of any little dog we have seen. Benny is always a happy guy. He has a little strut to him that makes his foster mom laugh and likes to sleep under the covers next to her or at her feet. He gets along well with other dogs and doesnt seem to mind cats. Benny is coming along very well with his house training and is completely crate trained. He is not destructive at all and doesnt chew on things that he shouldnt. He is very well mannered and loves to be held or sit in your lap for lots of attention. This little guy is the perfect little dog and will make someone a wonderful companion! Benny is about 6 years old and weighs around 10 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Elsberry Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Elsberry, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Elsberry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elsberry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elsberry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elsberry paves the way for another one to be saved.
