Roxy's Info...

I am already spayed and housetrained.

Roxy's Story...
Roxy is a spayed Border Colie/Cattle dog mix about 4 & 1/2 years old. She is somewhat timid and unsure of her new surroundings here at the rescue. Roxy appears to be kennel trained and have nice manners. Roxy will sit and receive treats gently. She is good on lead and follows her handlers direction making consistent eye contact. Since she is eager to please with patience and the right training she'd be a fabulous working dog or may be a good candidate for agility training. Roxy would be best suited for a quieter home, no small children please, and will need a job or two to keep her happy and healthy. If you think you'd be a good fit for Roxy please call or stop by today for an introduction.

If you want to apply for Roxy click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Meridian Border Collie/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Cattle Dog for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Border Collie/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
