Pete's Story...
Rescue Pete From Chicago Animal Care and Control

Pete is a one-year-old, affectionate, high-energy male American Bulldog-mix who was confiscated from his owner for neglect. He is a big strong and very friendly boy who is surprisingly easy to handle. He is excellent with other dogs in play group… very dog and people social. He’s a goofy boy who flops over on his side for love and belly rubs.

Since there are no available cages on the adoption floor, Pete is in pavilion B for rescues only. He is healthy, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and heartworm-tested. CACC is at 2741 S. Western Avenue in Chicago and is open noon to 7:00 pm with an hour closure from 3:00 to 4:00. If you have questions about Pete or want to make sure he is still available for rescue or foster, please contact caccadoptables@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pete, a Chicago American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
