Izzy's Story...
My name is Isabel but they call me Izzy for short. I am looking for a quiet home with a single lady who wants a quiet companion. I am afraid of most men, especially if they have loud voices, and I am very sensitive to loud noises. I am crate trained and am very quiet in my crate and I’m also respectful of fences. I get along with cats, other dogs if they are gentle and polite, and I walk SO GENTLY on a leash you won't believe it. My favorite toys are ones that I can squeeze and they make sounds of barking dogs. I play very cute with them. I like to growl and boss them around. I also like an occasional rawhide to chew on. I'm very smart and since I was starving and emaciated when PCAS found me I still look for lots of food and treats. I'm agile and can stand up on hind legs well and I will sit for a treat. I ride in the car pretty well and my favorite day spent is laying by the side of my foster Mom's bed on my dog bed while she reads her book. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact Lynn at 916 952 4164 or Wendy at 530 305 1917.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Izzy, a Auburn Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Auburn, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Auburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Auburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Auburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Auburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
