Mason's Story...
AVAILABLE 07-20-14 Mason and Major were brought to the Shelter because their owner couldn't keep up with them. Mason is a handsome one year old White/Blonde Shepherd Mix. He is housetrained and his shots are now up to date. When taken for a leash walk Mason walks along checking in with his walker every so often to make sure he's dong good. Mason is a friendly loving guy who has that Lab-like lean - where he leans against your leg for a pet. He also seems to be fine with other dogs (he and Major share a kennel). We tested him and found no sign of heart worms, so he's been given preventative. Mason would make a great addition to your family, so please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City to meet this handsome, sweet guy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mason, a Elizabeth City Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
