Marta's Story...
Meet Marta! I'm a 3-1/2 year old purebred teacup black pug. As most of you know, I was found in a Walmart parking lot last month with severe injuries. The nice people at the emergency clinic stitched me up, and I've been healing ever since. I'm almost ready to find my forever home!

I am as sweet as pie, and I am looking for someone to snuggle with me. I hate being left alone and I let everyone around me know that! I love to sleep and veg out, but I'm also active and love to run! I'd like to find a home with a big backyard with grass, so I can run free and stay safe. I love nice grass. It's the perfect place for me to lay in the sun, and roll around!

I don't have any eyes, but no one has told me I am blind. I get around just fine and love to explore! I can't do stairs, though, because I am too small and can't see. I follow my foster mom and brother around to find my way. It's working for me! I love my foster brother. He is my security blanket and my favorite pillow. I love to groom his face, almost as much as I love to lick my foster mom's face! Are you looking for a special little girl? If so, fill out an adoption application at www.pugrescueaustin.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marta, a Austin Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
