My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a gorgeous purebred boy Lindorff is! Lindorff, his litter mates and parents were all left in a backyard with no food or water when the pups were all brand new. Though the neighbors tried their best to make sure they were taken care of, the papa turned on the pups and injured several of them.

Lindorff did suffer from a bite from his papa that left him with some visual impairment and can be a little clumsy. He gets along so well that it's hard to tell he's even got any issues and we call him "Lucky Lindy." As if being bitten by your papa wasn't bad enough, his human inflicted more on them when they were only two days old, which was to dock their ears and tails and cut their dewclaws off - with regular scissors and no medical/vet care.

We were privileged to take in the mama and her surviving pups, five of them, and give them the love and care they deserve. They are all now ready for new homes and are amazingly sweet and oh so Dobie! All of them are crate trained, very smart, and very people oriented.

Lindorff and his available litter mates will be spayed/neutered on August 5th and ready to go to new homes immediately after that. If you are interested in adopting Lindorff or one of his litter mates please go to our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org, click on Adoption Process and read to the bottom where you'll find the link for our application.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and is found under Resources. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
