Jaxx's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jaxx's Story...
Jaxx is a 4 year old black purebred GSD. He was tied outside his entire life and was taken away from his owner as a neglect case. He weighed only 61 lbs when he was seized from his owner. He weighed in at 91.3 lbs as of July 21 and still gaining. He is Heartworm positive and will be treated before adoption.

He is current on all of his vaccinations and he is on doxycycline as a preventative for any secondary infections he could pick up as a result of his Heartworm positive status. He has been treated for an ear infection and he has been microchipped. He has had a dental and is now neutered. He is crate trained, house broken, and love children. He gets along with all of the dog here and cats. He is very smart. I taught him to sit and shake in about an hour.

Next week he will be treated for Heartworm with Immiticide injections in his back. Then he will be available for adoption. He is one incredible dog after all he has been through. It is amazing how much they love people if given the chance.

If you re interested in Jaxx or any of our dogs fill out the application at www.howlatthemoonrescue.com His adoption fee is $350

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaxx, a Zanesville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Zanesville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Zanesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Zanesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Zanesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Zanesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
