24 OCTOBER 2014: Freya moved to a foster home this week! She is still on some exercise restrictions post-heartworm treatment, but she is feeling much better. Stay tuned as we get to know more about her personality!


1 SEPTEMBER 2014: Freya is feeling much better but still has a ways to go with her heartworm treatment, so she is not yet available for adoption.
6 AUGUST 2014: Unfortunately, Freya and her buddy, Hamish, came to BREW with a number of health issues (heartworm positive, Lyme disease antibodies, hookworms, and Giardia). We’re working with our wonderful vets to get them healthy, and they will be moving into foster homes in a few weeks.
Needy beagles like Freya and Hamish are the ones who need BREW most, and we’re proud to have gotten them to safety and on the road to recovery. The truth is, however, that these desperately needy beagles are expensive to care for, and it’s only through our supporters’ generous donations that week can keep saving beagles like these

Freya is new to BREW as of August 1st! She was a stray in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and our vet estimates she is about 3 years old and 20 pounds. She is very people- and dog-friendly, rides quietly in the car, and didn’t leave any messes in her crate after her 2 hour ride. Stay tuned as we get to know Freya!
