My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING: Charlotte Cocker Rescue has agreed to help find a loving home for this sweet girl. She is still in the care of her owner until we can find her a new forever loving home. She was adopted 6 years ago from Annie's Rescued Friends, a local NC rescue along with another cocker girl (Humba) but the owner's are now retired, so they contacted CCR to help them find these two sweet girls a loving home. They can be adopted out separately or together. You can also read Humba's story by looking at her bio.

Urgent, Needs a Home ASAP! Thande is looking for a new forever home. On July 10th of 2008 she and Humba were adopted to a wonderful family with kids. They have both enjoyed a great life, been well taken care of and very loved. Recently, the husband re-married and these two girls now need to find new homes due to the busy activity level of the household. They need more attention, love and one on one quality time with a new owner. They can be adopted separately or together.

Thande (born November of 2006) is a black n white, spayed girl, 8 years old. She is very active, a bit dominant, very intelligent, easy to train and learns quickly. She would be a good fit for a younger, active person as she likes to go on runs and be played with. She is house trained, but might leak a bit if excited. She is dog social and does fine with other dogs after she gets to know them. She has been in our home for 6 years. Thande means LOVE in Zulu, a language spoken in the eastern part of South Africa. She is very young of body and spirit for her age, active, inquisitive and intelligent. She is a natural leader but has learned to walk alongside her owner without dragging you with her. She loves to play, chase balls, squirrels and is always up for walks or runs. She is engaged in the world and loves to track any action outside. She is in good health and has had no significant heath issues todate. She loves to learn and be trained and is responsive to most basic commands. She might be partly springer spaniel as well as cocker as she has a vertical leap that would make a basketball player proud. She can be adopted out separately to a loving home that is right for her or with Humba. There will be a $200 adoption fee for this dog to make sure that she gets a great home.

If you are interested in adopting Thande, please contact Donna Carpenter of Charlotte Cocker Rescue by sending an email message to:larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application.
Fill it out, get approved and the information will be shared with the owner to let them know you are interested in adopting one or both of these sweet cocker girls. The adoption fee is $200 for this dog.
