Hoagie's Story...
Name: Hoagie
Breed: Rat Terrier
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Hoagie is the whole package- playful, snuggly, outgoing yet adores his owner most of all. This adult male Rat Terrier mix was an unclaimed stray, but since he came in house trained and very comfortable in the home we know someone once cared for him. Hoagie likes other dogs and very much enjoys playing outside with them. He is good with kids, has not been with cats. Hoagie is not available until he arrives in a few weeks, and we are looking to see if anyone wants to do a 'foster to adopt' with him, where they take him home right when he arrives as a foster dog with intent to adopt if he is the right match.

Requirements: No special requirements.

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hoagie, a Minneapolis Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
