Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Once Butterbean knows you, she bonds deeply and is incredibly sweet and loyal. We can see that she is most comfortable in the company of females (although she did grow to love her male handlers at the prison, and a male adopter who had for a while before becoming ill and having to give her up).
The ideal home for Butterbean would be an adult-only home with a female owner. She should also be the only pet, as she has a tendency to guard food and prized possessions from other dogs. When crated, she is uneasy about strangers coming right up to her, so we suggest her adopter place the crate in a quiet spot to simply avoid this issue.
Butterbean is currently being fostered in the Richmond area. To learn more about the Pen Pals program, please visit our website at www.fetchacure.com. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website, click on the Pen Pals tab, fill out the application under Adoption Process (scroll down to bottom) and fax it to 804.525-2193, or email it to christine@fetchacure.com
