My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. My name is Beatrix. I am about 1 year old and I weigh about 60 lbs.
I was picked up by the pound after my owners moved and abandoned me at the old house!! The neighbors took care of me for over 2 weeks before they called the pound to come pick me up.
I am a very sweet and loving girl, but I am a typical "I have been chained up outside my whole life" kind of dog. I am so happy to get attention or be talked to that I kind of forget to use my manners and I jump all over you. It is apparent that I have had no training so I am not going to be a perfect dog that you take home and everything is hunky dory. I will require a lot of patience and training to help me become the wonderful dog I have the potential to be.
I do love all people, including children, however, the pound feels at this time that I would not be suitable for a home with small children because I am a large, untrained dog with a lot of energy and I may accidentally hurt a child by knocking them over or jumping up on them.
I also get along well with the other dogs here at the pound so far.
If you have the time and patience needed to train me, I will turn out to be an excellent dog. Please consider adopting me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER AUGUST 2, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
