Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Scout! He was saved by some kind volunteers from the Obejiwan reservation in Northern Quebec. Scout at 3 years of age proves that all doggies no matter where they are from or what they experienced all just want love and attention!
Scout is adjusting so well to foster care and a home environment, while he still has a nervous moment or too learning the new noises and movements in the home he trusts and settles down very well.
In such a short time he has learned to walk on the leash comfortably and boy does he love his walks!
Scout is naturally playful and happy and so very friendly with everyone he meets, he is just totally loving life right now and we could not be happier for him!
He has encountered other doggies on his walks and does live with a kitty in foster care; there have been no issues to date as he gets along so well with everyone
Scout is still learning basic commands so he won’t be dealing cards any time soon but he is picking up so fast as he just wants to please everyone around him.
He has very sad soulful eyes and we wonder about all the things he has experienced in his life, the scars under them will always remain… they have been there for a long time and we are unsure of what could have happened to him in his past to leave these marks on his face. We just call them old war wounds and dudes with scars always are cooler if you ask us!
The ideal home for Scout will be out of the city with a back yard for him to feel the freedom, patient and loving people who are active and want to spend time with Scout going for walks or teaching him new tricks and continuing his general obedience so that he can always remain a good canine citizen
If you would like to meet Scout for potential adoption please write to CAARescue@gmail.com and ask for an application for adoption so that we can arrange for you to meet him
