My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a happy and carefree Schnoodle Jayson is! At 18 - 24 months old and just about 36 lbs. Jayson is the most loving "meeter & greeter" ever. We all know that when the wag starts at the tail and becomes a full-blown body wiggle...that Jayson is greeting either a beloved friend or anyone who has the potential to be a future playmate. Jayson is so warm and friendly that he always hopes every pat and kind word will turn into a lifelong friend. Both humans and other dogs are drawn to Jayson for his positive attitude and kind ways - no human friend can keep from petting Jayson's soft coat (sorry about the sad and dirty shelter photo of this beautiful dog...we'll update with a photo that shows off this gorgeous pup properly) and enjoying his obvious love affair with life.

It is this love of life that motivates us to put Jayson through Heartworm treatments..his precious life deserves to be saved! Jayson has tested low HW+ and Farfel's (with the help of Rescued Pets Movement of Houston and Dr G in Denver) has volunteered to save this very sweet boy. The heart worm treatment process involves several shots followed by a short period of very quiet crate time for the dog. We have found this protocol to be very successful and the dogs go on to live long, happy lives.

We are seeking an adopter or foster to lovingly care for Jayson through this process as he become Heartworm negative. It's quite an easy rehab process as it only entails quiet time with soft words and belly rubs. We will pay the vet bills and provide premium food and treats for this special boy as he grows healthily worm-free.

Other dogs seem to really enjoy Jayson's playfulness that is never aggressive...only fun-loving and active. It's very typical for a Schnoodle to be a great and devoted companion - they're known for their sweet and kind ways. Jayson would fit well into a family with kids and dogs...as long as the people loved and spent quality time with their pets. He would benefit from positive reinforcement obedience classes that included the whole family - Jayson is a super-smart guy who truly wants to please and great training will give him the skills to be an excellent adult dog. These type of classes will also bring out the great qualities of this Schnoodle as well as creating a tight-knit bonding with all family members.
Jayson is a non-shedding pup and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his shining coat healthy and matt-free.

Jayson will be transported to Denver on 8/8. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional and devoted companion.
