My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

4/20/08 Tilly has been adopted into her forever home. Hooray for that lucky girl!

3/30/08 This sweetie is doing great. Check out new pictures (can you believe her beautiful coloring?! She looks to have some shepherd mix in her) and an update from her foster mom below:

"Tilly is just great!!! super sweet luv bug... she may have cat in her - she rubs up against you! Not very food motivated but attention motivated. She has good house manners.... no accidents yet! It takes her a bit to figure out that she's outside to do her business but she goes and gets tons of praise for it. She's not a big licker, takes treats and food gently. She doesn't like getting into the crate but not a peep once she's there. Her first night here she just followed me up to bed. She got right up, snuggled in a ball and pretty much stayed there all night. She is not too interested in toys but loves playing with Sam my american bully and he's a bit of a brute - she keeps right with him!!! She met my friends and their 8 year old daughter and did super with her. I've begun teaching her to sit. She is going to make someone a great family pet!!! She loves the snow, does awesome on her leash and has THE softest coat. I don't know about cats, I don't have any but given her calm, gentle disposition I think a dog savvy cat might work. I'd keep her but my bully is a handful by himself!!!"

3/28/08 This beautiful girl is in foster care in Maine. She is positively beautiful and as mellow as can be. Reportedly she had never lived in a home, or at least not in a long time, but it didn't take her long to find her spot on the couch. She is strong but does not pull at the leash and does remarkably well with it. She's not too sure about the outside potty situation but we'll work with her on it; she's a smart girl and should catch on quick! She is fine with other dogs and loves affection from people of all ages. What a sweetie!

3/25/08 Tilly should be here at the end of the week. Wouldn't you like to meet this beautiful girl?

3/15/08 Tilly is a gorgeous girl! She is an adult lab mix with a beautiful brown coat. She is approx 55 lbs and a fun and terrific dog who loves kids, other dogs and loves to play. She hasn't been tested with cats.

Tilly was rescued from death row in Spalding County, Georgia and was brought to a wonderful sanctuary but the owner has since lost her home insurance and ability to keep the dogs. We wanted to save every one of them but had to choose the best of the best to make the trip north because we can only accomodate as many as we can find foster homes for.

Would you consider fostering her to see if she's the right dog to add to your family?
