Valerie's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Valerie's Story...
Valerie is a doll! She's got a wonderful disposition and is waiting to show it off! Rescued in December of 2005 from a person with too many cats, Valerie is one of those kitties that will love you and shower you with affection, no matter what. That's what we love about her. We estimate her birthday in August of 2005. She's happy to be petted, loves naps and enjoys sleeping in the sun. Look at that face - what a lovely lady.

The first step to adopting any feline is to fill out an application at http://acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt/cat-adoption/application/

All of ours cats have been Feline leukemia and feline aids tested negative, spayed or neutered, vaccinated with FVRCP and FELV, rabies vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. This cat has an adoption fee that has been waived because it is over 3 years old.

**Please note that some of our older cats have special needs and medical conditions that will be discussed once an application has been filled out.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Valerie, a Carencro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carencro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carencro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carencro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carencro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carencro paves the way for another one to be saved.
