My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whoa, hey there! I’m Dino, what are you up to? Hopefully you are browsing facebook, hoping to find a hunk of a puppy to love. Either way, I’d love to tell you a little about myself. I’m one of the ADOPTABLE fellas here with NBS. You may notice from my coloring and radar ears, that I’m likely a min-pin/terrier mix. Also, you may be impressed to know I know a LOT of tricks. I can sit, lay down, jump through hula hoops, catch a Frisbee, play fetch, can know “get in your bed” for crate time.… Oh, and I can jump up in to your arms like an agility dog PRO! My favorite thing in the entire world is to play fetch. No really, I LIVE for it. I can fearlessly fetch stuffed animals, tennis balls, rubber squeaky toys, sticks, kong toys – what ever you wanna throw? BOOM – I can bring it back like a champ! My foster family laughs, because I won’t go outside without having a toy in my mouth. But really, you never know if you might need it…am I right?

Also, you may like to know that not only am I a friendly, super energetic puppy – but I also capable of playing nice with cats, and other playful dogs. Kids sometimes make me nervous when they want to play. Kids tend to run out the door to play, and my foster mom thinks I would do best in a home with only mature kids 13+, or even better- let me be the kid! I would love to be your fur-kid! Sudden movements and new people can make me a little bit anxious. I just get scared sometimes that someone might not be kind to me, or might leave me. Other than that – I’m pretty darned wonderful. Oh – and I enjoy car rides, walks, and hanging out on the couch watching movies too.

I will be adoptable in mid-February, because like I said - I am currently working on how to greet new dogs and people nicely. I will tell you that once my human friends introduce me to a new dog, I do great with other dogs. My best friend in fostercare is a deaf Chihuahua, Elsa (also adoptable through NBS). We play tug of war until one of us needs a nap. Then we cuddle and snooze.

The people at NBS are super nice, and told me that somewhere out there, there is an adoptive home that will always come back to make sure I get to go outside, be loved on and cared for. If I could find a home like that? Woof, I’d do just about anything.

If you think that you may have room in your heart and home for an animated boy like me, please fill out an application at www.NBSAnimalRescue.com. Even if I am not the forever fella for you – could you please share my picture anyway? Thanks, friend!

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
