My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marley, a very handsome red merle male approx 2-3 yrs old. He is sweet as he is handsome (in these pictures he has some hairloss due to flea allergies....he was full of them when I pulled him from the shelter). He just wants his own person to please and to dote on him. Marley is fine with other dogs however he does not care for other dogs in his face, he likes his space (he is not comfortable in crowds!). He is fostered in a home that has 4 other dogs (males & females) and he's doing fine. A nice, not too submissive female would be wonderful!

Marley is too interested in cats so a home with NO cats is best. While he seems fine with children I do not think he'd do well in a home with small children, their tendency to be loud and boisterous (natural for small children) would most likely be a bit much for him. I feel he can have a strong herding drive so may chase cars/bikes/skateboards and would probably want to herd running children!

Marley is house and crate trained and not destructive when left alone, at least not the 6 hrs he was left un-crated by accident.

Marley can be protective of his person He is much more comfortable not having to be the protector. He is not a dog for a first time dog/Aussie owner. Don't get me wrong, he's a great dog, just needs someone that knows dog behavior. He's a big love bug and gives the BEST kisses!!
