Facts about Moische

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 7254703
  • Hair: Short
Moische is a sweet boy with great character. He has unusually long top canine teeth, which helped gain him the nickname ‘vampire kittyÂÂ’. He is silly, loves attention, and can be playful once he feels comfortable enough to play with new people. Moische was originally adopted from Safe Harbor as a kitten, but was unfortunately returned when his owner moved to a new place and bought new furniture – he didnÂÂ’t want to take a chance that he might damage it even though he admitted heÂÂ’d never damaged any furniture before. He has been a very well-behaved boy here with us and has no bad habits whatsoever. Moische would do well in a quiet home and he gets along fine with other cats. Moische is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and vet checked. If you're interested in adopting Moische, please call Linda Dean in Adoptions at (561)747-5311 ext. 2.

About Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic and Ranch

About Our Shelter...

The Humane Society of Greater Jupiter/Tequesta d/b/a Furry Friends was founded in 1985 and was the second humane organization in the state of Florida to open a low-cost spay / neuter hospital. With between 7-10 million animals a year being killed in our nation’s shelters, Furry Friend's mission first and foremost has always been to reduce the over population of unwanted pets in our community. We do not believe that euthanasia is the answer to dealing with the pet over population crisis. Our charitable hospital offers low-cost spay / neuter services. We have sterilized over 75,000 animals over the past 24 years, preventing hundreds of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born and thousands more from being needlessly destroyed.

A few years after establishing the charitable hospital, Furry Friends opened one of the only true no-kill shelters in South Florida. The shelter reserves it’s space for animals who have been abused, neglected, injured and abandoned. We are a charity surviving on donations alone, and our capacity is limited. For the welfare of the resident animals, we cannot exceed our capacity. Cages are not vacated by routine euthanasia. They become available only through adoption.
