Remi's Story...
Hi! My name is Remi and I am an adorable, 4-year-old, male Weim with a cute white patch on my chest. I'm a big boy, weighing in at about 90 pounds, but that is nothing a little more exercise will not fix! I used to have a family of my own with kids, which I loved! I became a little too protective of my family which was not a great fit for a family with young children that have friends coming over. GLWR took me in because they know with the right family and some consistent training to help socialize me better, I can become more comfortable meeting strangers and I will be a great dog!

I am a sweet dog that likes to play fetch and snuggle on the couch. I get along with other dogs but not cats! In my current mind set, a home without children or maybe older teenagers would be best for me. I am kennel trained and while I have some leash manners, I know that's an area I can definitely improve on. I am a quick learner and I love human attention. Do you have some spare time and attention to give to a loving goofball that just needs a second chance?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remi, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
