Shay's Story...
Meet Shay!

Shay is a friendly, sweet puppy about 14-15 weeks old & weighs about 14-16 pounds. She has a beautiful coat that is shinny with very cool coloring. Her coat looks black at times, but she has a lot of very dark brown fur that has a sheen in the light. We know her mom is a chocolate lab and we are guessing her dad was black lab.

Shay was rescued along with her siblings from a high kill shelter in NC. She is now living in a foster home in NJ. Shay enjoys exploring in the yard and playing with the foster's dog. And, she loves playing with children.

Shay's foster mom says...."Shay is very affectionate and gives everyone she meets puppy kisses. She likes to hang out with the family and following us around. Shay's tail never stops wagging!"

Shay is playful, friendly & sweet. She is hoping you have a furever home for her? She wants to be your best friend!

If you have a furever home for this pup, please email us at FHDR@att.net for an adoption application. To see more photos, go to www.fhdr.petfinder.com

Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be alone all day.

The breed this pet is listed as is our best guess as we have no background info on who the mom and dad are.

We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported here from NC.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shay, a Randolph Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Randolph, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Randolph.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Randolph already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Randolph breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Randolph paves the way for another one to be saved.
