Grover's Story...
GROVER is a sweet one year old boxer mix pup who would love to find a forever home where he can get the love and care he deserves and needs. Grover was evaluated shortly after he was rescued and it was determined he was blind at that time, however, after a course of medication for a different condition, he regained some of his sight. We do not know if this will be temporary or permanent. Grover has rolled with the punches and has always been good at figuring it out and learning how to get around. It is obvious that, despite his poor eyesight, he knows how to enjoy a warm summer's day in the pool and running around the yard. He needs an understanding person or family who will help him along the way. He weighs 31 pounds and we expect he will grow to be a medium-size dog. He is current on vaccinations and neutered. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Grover if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to cover the cost of his vetting and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grover, a Union City Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Union City, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
