My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Best Friend Butch is an 18 month old, 60 pound Boxer/ Mountain Cur mix. It was a Saturday morning in late June when someone got a call about Butch being curled up on their deck outside apparently lost. We get lots of calls like this but Butch was a most pleasant surprise. This boy, despite being hungry and uncared for is a true gem. Grateful and friendly and eager to make friends with everyone and every dog, he has now come in to our care and as usual…we promised him a fabulous life ahead when we have the right family step forward to take him home. He is a very receptive and easy dog. He is great on a leash and loves to walk in the neighborhood and meet the world. He loves car rides and has very good manners. Butch delights in being given a kind word or a gentle pat on the head. Attention from anyone sends his tail wagging and his body quivering with excitement and acceptance of the kindness. His manners are quite good. He asks nothing of humans and yet is willing to give you ALL that he has in the way of companionship, love and adoration. Butch would be a great outdoorsy kind of side kick in life, hiking, running, ocean walks, neighborhood treks around the block several times or just playing in the backyard with children. He loves children and brightens like a light bulb when children come around. Perhaps he is just a kid at heart himself. If you sit in a lawn chair outside, he walks over and crawls up in your lap halfway with his lower half hanging off but his head and shoulders definitely making an effort to give you a hug. Cats are the one thing we don’t really know about. He seems very interested in them and excited when one walks by, so not sure if we trust him. If that is his only downfall, you still will have an A+ dog for life if you choose Butch. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
