My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roman is a very energetic, active dog. He LOVES other dogs, will run and play and then lay like a frog when he tires out and will then snuggle on your lap when playtime is over. True to Pittie and Lab nature, he is a HUGE kisser, and goes around kissing you, the dogs, dogs' ears, etc. He's crate trained, house trained and truly is the sweetest, most loving-natured guy. He has the most soft, shiny lab coat ever, and has the Lab build, but the typical Pit Bull nose.
A little background; Roman is about 12-months old and 60 pounds of full of playful, snuggly, lovingness. He was found at 7-months old in dire conditions in a housing project in Tennessee, when Critter Cavalry swept in to the rescue and found him a loving foster home in where he was socialized with two dogs and a cat, although he sometimes chases the cat.
Both Labs and Pit Bull breeds are energetic, so Roman would do best with an active family or home with a strong leader, other medium-to-large breed dog(s) and older kids and/or families willing to socialize him with other dogs. He is curious and willing to please, but has some separation anxiety when you leave him too long, so a house with active owners or people/dogs around is best for him. He could use some training with his leash behavior. He does not do well with cats or small dogs. He just wants to be with you all the time, which is great for some, but not for others. Also, KISSES a lot, and thinks he’s a lapdog at 60 pounds. He is definitely a bed sleeper and loves cuddling up with you. We love him and can't wait to find him a fur-ever home that will love, exercise and spoil him and raise him to be another ambassador for this amazing breed. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
