JOEY's Story...
This little fellow was on the euthanasia list at our local shelter because they were out of room and his 72 hour hold time was up. So Blues City Animal Rescue pulled him and we couldn't be happier about it. He has been a wonderful addition to our rescue family. he's a doll. Full of life, happy all of the time. Joey does so well with other dogs and children and seems indifferent toward cats. Joey is about 4 months old. he is kennel trained and learning to walk on a leash. He has a wonderful foster family in Tennessee who loves him very much but Joey wants to find his new forever family. If you are interested in becoming Joey's new forever family please email Blues City Animal Rescue at baversa1@gmail.com. Joey's adoption fee of 450.00 covers his neuter, his vaccinations, his health certificate and his transport to the midwest. Please visit us on facebook and like us! Thank you for choosing rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JOEY, a Waterbury Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in Waterbury, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Waterbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waterbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waterbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waterbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
