Baby Girl's Story...
Baby Girls hair looks like that of a Wire Hair Terrier dog. But her fur is very soft. She was only one pound and on-half ounce when we got her but was already sweet. As soon as you pick her up she begins to purr. Her mom is wild so it's unusual for her to be so sweet to humans. It's her nature though. She's just lovie by nature.

If you’re interested in meeting Baby Girl please fill out our on-line application on our web site ( and we will arrange a day/time that’s convenient for you. Or if you have questions please call 847-306-3688, x-101 and one of our volunteers will return your call.

Fat Cat’s adoption fees are: $125 for kittens under 6 months, kittens over 6 months and cats are $100; for cats over 7 the fee is negotiable; for special breed kitties add $25. Second adoptions are half price. The fees include spay/neuter, rabies, distemper, medications for ear mites, fleas, and worms, testing for feline leukemia and FIV, and microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Girl, a Grayslake Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Grayslake, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Grayslake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grayslake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grayslake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grayslake paves the way for another one to be saved.
