HARLEY (Courtesy List)'s Story...
Harley is a 2 1/2 year old female Bordie Collie/Pointer mix. She is in urgent need of a foster as her owners can no longer keep her.

Harley is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She is great with people, kids and other dogs. She is mildly curious about cats but has never exhibited aggressive behavior. She would make a wonderful family pet. She was assessed by a behaviorist/trainer who said she is very smart and responds well to commands and any corrections. She is spayed microchipped and vaccinated. Please contact maissad@eastwoodranch.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HARLEY (Courtesy List), a San Pedro Border Collie/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Pointer for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie/Pointer dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Pointer breeders who help with Border Collie/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
