Important Note

Babe is best friends with Liz. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Babe and Liz (bonded pair and litter mates)...We are two very sweet and good looking country gals looking for a loving forever home on a dude ranch or big farm with lots of space. We can run a country mile! We need a large secure yard with some time inside and out. We are gentle and a little timid around new folks. We want to be adopted together since we are close sisters and it would make us sad to be a part. So if you like country gals we might be the pair for you!
Very gentle hound mix one of four litter mates. Primarily outdoor dog at this time..will make a good companion dog.
SPECIAL NOTE: Although we prefer to be adopted together we will consider individual adoptions in the right home

I'm Babe <3
Babe is one of six sibling hound dogs that were born to their sweet mother who was cruelly abandoned by the side of the road. Their current foster graciously took the mother and all six puppies in. Two of Babe's siblings have already been adopted. She is 4 years old with a very sweet and shy temperament. She is cautious at first but slowly warms up to affection and treats. Her sister Breana is doing very well in her new adopted home.

About Gadsden County Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Gadsden County Humane Society is an all volunteer not-for-profit animal welfare organization. We do not have a shelter or facility and animals currently within our program are in foster homes. If you are interested in adopting, you may visit us and see our adoptable animals at the PetSmart adoption center in Tallahassee on the 2nd and 4th Sundays or call or e-mail us at any time. You may also go to our Facebook Page and learn more about our programs.
Our adoption fee is $80. All animals adopted from our program will be up-to-date on shots, and spay/neutered.
Please note that we also do not pick up animals and are not affiliated with animal control.

Know that there are many ways you can help! You can send tax deductible donations to GCHS, donate food and/or supplies, or you can volunteer. Thank you for your support!

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our animals are currently located in foster homes in theTallahassee/Quincy/Havana area. Our animals are shown at Petsmart in Tallahassee (on Capital Circle NE next to Home Depot) on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month from 11am-4pm. If you would like to meet one of our animals, we would be happy to make an appointment with you to do so.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee is $80. Cats must be indoors only (unless stated differently on the website) and cannot be declawed. Dogs require a fenced in yard. The adoption fee includes up to date vaccinations and a spay or neuter. If the animal is not old enough to have already been spayed/neutered, GCHS will be responsible for paying the spay/neuter fee at certain vets in the area.
