The name Kitara comes from the word Kithara, an ancient Greek musical instrument resembling the lyre or modern day guitar. Much as the Kithara was played to accompany dances and epic recitations, Kitara the pup was made to accompany you on life’s many epic adventures! Kitara is the embodiment of a faithful sidekick, and her favorite pastime is following her favorite people around like a happy little shadow. Kitara is 6 and a half years old (as of 2017) and weighs roughly 50 pounds. She is truly one of the mellowest and easygoing girls you will meet. She knows how to go to the bathroom outside, and walks very well on a leash. When she’s not enjoying daily walks with volunteers, or following her favorite humans around, Kitara likes to lay back and people-watch. This beautiful lady has a short and easy-to-care-for coat, a reassuring smile, and lovely brown eyes. If you are looking for a sweet, friendly, and laidback gal, then Kitara is definitely worth a visit!
