Blackberry's Info...

Blackberry's Story...
Blackberry is a lovely black English Irish girl who is approximately 4-5 months old. She came to CTRR along with 7 other rats from a shelter, where they were surrendered for unknown reasons. Blackberry was pregnant when she arrived, and had eight babies shortly after. Now that they have found homes and she has been spayed (on 9/23/14) she is ready for a home of her own. Blackberry is very active, energetic and curious. She is a sweet girl and playful, but likes to be on the go! She is currently living with Clover and we would prefer they be adopted together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackberry, a Austin Rat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat for sale in Austin, or seeking a Rat from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat breeders who help with Rat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
