Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kayla is a lovable and good-natured, 20-month-old, 30-pound, three-legged shepherd/husky-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Kayla is full of kisses and tail wags for everyone she meets - people and other dogs.
Kayla landed at Chicago Animal Care and Control after being hit by a car. Her left rear leg was so badly mangled it had to be amputated. Kayla is such a sweet, happy, wiggly girl, you notice her great personality, before you notice the missing limb.
Kayla is housebroken and crate-trained. She is surprisingly strong on leash, so she needs some work on her leash manners.
Kayla LOVES other dogs - big and small - and is looking for a family with at least one other dog. And, preferably that home will only have a few stairs for Kayla to climb.
Kayla is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly adopt her, please fill in an adoption application at http://raindogrescue.org/application/ and follow up by contacting Info@RainDogRescue.org or 773-770-5115. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Rain Dog Rescue.
