My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTED 10-30-14; unavailable. Original bio below:

Buddy is an awesome dog! He's a cream-color Poodle mix male, about 3 yrs old and 15 lbs. This little guy is a super good and affectionate dog. He's 100% potty trained to go outdoors, and is also crate trained. He's learned to use a doggie door at his foster home. Buddy is friendly, alert, devoted, easy-going, happy, loving, smart and sweet. He's hypo-allergenic and doesn't shed. He needs a quick daily brushing (5 mins) and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. He already knows some basic commands.

The Miniature Poodle is an intelligent, joyful companion dog. It can be trained to a high degree and is very willing and happy to please its handler. Comical and clever, it is often used as a circus dog. The more intelligent a dog is, the more it needs its mind occupied. This breed cannot live outside in a kennel. It needs to be part of the family and given the proper type and amount of exercise. This is a very good watchdog for its size, seldom becoming aggressive. Poodles are friendly with other dogs and non-canine pets. Be sure you are this dog’s firm pack leader to avoid any unwanted behavior problems.

Buddy loves to sit in your lap and hang out with you. He also enjoys going for walks and playing outdoors in a securely fenced yard. He's a good choice for either all adults or families with older children (9 years and up who have small dog experience and know how to properly treat them). Buddy is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, groomed, and microchipped. He's also just had a vet exam. Buddy's adoption donation is $300 and includes his lifetime microchip registration. If you're interested in adopting this wonderful dog, email us for an adoption application at 1yorkiesrescue@gmail.com. A completed adoption application is required before meeting our dogs.

Thank you for choosing to adopt and save the life of a homeless dog!
