Mitzi's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Mitzi's Story...
Mitzi is a gorgeous 10 year old Maltese, but also resembles a Shih-Tzu.

Mitzi’s Mom passed away, and her daughter took her straight to the pound two days later. This poor baby didn’t understand what was happening, where her Mom went, and why she was in a strange loud scary place. HART Rescue was asked to step in, and now she is in a loving foster home where she can be spoiled rotten, while she waits to find a new family to love and care for her.

Mitzi is very timid at first meeting because of being unsure of new people. Once she gets to know you, she is the most loving, quiet sidekick around. She follows her foster Mom everywhere, and wants nothing more than to be by her side. She is potty, and crate trained, and walks like a pro on a leash. She gets along with cats and dogs alike. Mitzi is hypoallergenic, non-shedding, and will need frequent trips to the groomers to keep her beautiful hair tangle free. Mitzi is looking for a calm home, where she will be loved and dotted on.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mitzi, a Cincinnati Maltese/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Shih Tzu for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Maltese/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Maltese/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
