My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 11 years
Gender: Male
Color: Liver & White
Weight: 45 lbs
Variety: Field

This handsome and loving Springer is Blue, although he is anything but blue. Blue was surrendered by his owner due to housing issues. Blue had a rough first few weeks going from his home of eleven years to foster care, but you would never know that now by his happy personality.

Blue is a laidback fellow who would be happy to be petted all day long. He is hard of hearing and nearly blind, but this sweet boy will do anything he can to find your hand for some attention. He loves to lie by his people's feet and will start pacing when he needs to be let out. He is completely housetrained and has never had an accident.

Blue learns his way around quickly, as long as things stay in their normal places. His nose works great, and he recently had a fun time sniffing out some bunnies under the bushes in his foster family's backyard. Blue gets along wonderfully with the resident dogs, and he ignores the resident cats. He is extremely friendly with the kids in his foster home, and he has been around other small children with no problems.

Blue navigates stairs well once he learns his way around. He is very good on a leash and does not tug or pull. He sleeps either on the floor by the couch or occasionally on a blanket on the couch. He never asks to get up on the bed, unlike the naughty resident dogs.

Blue loves his treats, and he also loves to go for car rides. In fact, he sometimes tries to sneak into the car when he's not supposed to!

Blue deserves a wonderful Forever Home where he can live out his golden years. He is a very low-maintenance dog who only asks for lots of petting, love, treats, and car rides!

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Blue.
