Harry Bear's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Harry Bear's Story...
Harry was turned in as a stray, and nobody ever came to find him. That's hard to understand, because he is such a great dog.

Harry is best described as a perfect gentleman. He's quiet, polite, dignified, and just a pleasure to have around. He enjoys walks, and will stay beside you without pulling on the leash. Strenuous exercise is not his thing - his right hip is very arthritic, making it hard for him to climb hills or stairs, or to get into high vehicles. But he will make the effort without complaint so he can be with you. (Surgery may be an option for him in the future, but he's on meds now and we'll see how he does.) He's otherwise in excellent health.

If you're looking for a nice, well-behaved companion to hang out with, ask us about Harry.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry Bear, a Flagstaff Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever for sale in Flagstaff, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog from a breeder in Flagstaff.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flagstaff already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flagstaff breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flagstaff paves the way for another one to be saved.
