Digby's Story...
Digby is a truly beautiful long haired sheepdog mix, he was just so matted when we rescued him we had to have him shaved down to the skin. He is a wonderful, sweet and loving dog, he weighs 30 lbs and is approx 3 yrs old, he is a little shy and reserved at first and likes to hang out quietly on his own, but gradually starts to mingle with the other dogs and likes to play out in the yard when everyone is outside. Digby seems to be pretty well house trained and does well on leash, he travels well in the car and loves to put his head in your lap for lots of petting, he would be a lap dog if he had the chance, he is going to be a great companion for a lucky family

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Digby, a Woonsocket English Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Sheepdog for sale in Woonsocket, or seeking a English Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Woonsocket.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woonsocket already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woonsocket breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Sheepdog breeders who help with English Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woonsocket paves the way for another one to be saved.
