Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or Oklahoma City area.
NAME: Prissy
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
BREED: 1/2 Chihuahua, 1/2 Pug
AGE: About 12 years
WEIGHT: About 13 pounds
DOGS/CATS: Great with other small dogs, No with cats
CHILDREN: Should be fine with children
Prissy is a beautiful little girl who is looking for someone to love. She is 1/2 Chihuahua and 1/2 Pug -- and has the adorable look of both breeds! She has a light colored white coat, floppy ears, and wears a big smile every day.
Prissy came to CRT a few short weeks ago when her owner unexpectedly died. She is about 12 and lived with her original owner her entire life. CRT
couldn't turn this girl down - we are committed to find a new forever family to love her. Remember - small dogs can live to be 17-18 years old. Prissy is totally healthy and has great energy. So we know she has some special years to share with a new family.
Prissy has a very pleasant personality. She loves other small dogs and gets along great with them. She also LOVES playing with toys, especially if you have a ball she can chase. She will chase a ball for hours, it is truly one of her joys in her life. When she is done playing, Prissy will relax around the house with her family.
Prissy loves people. She is very friendly to everyone she meets. She seems to love adults and children equally. She has a mellow personality. When she isn't playing with toys, she is relaxing and hanging out with her humans. She is not a big cuddler. But she does enjoy hanging around in the same room as you, relaxing in her dog bed, etc. Prissy is not a big barker, again, reflecting on her pleasant personality. If you are looking for an easy dog to be around - Prissy fits that wish!
Prissy is also really smart. She is totally potty trained. She knows how to go in and out of a doggie door. She is leash trained and loves to go on walks with you. She is also crate trained. But she is so mellow, her foster family usually does not crate her during the day as she is such a good girl.
You know the old saying "age is just a number". That definitely is true with Prissy. Although she is 12, you would never know it. She has great energy and is very healthy. We believe she would fit in great with other dogs, or would be terrific as an only dog too.
Prissy weighs about 13 pounds, which is a good weight for her size and build. Prissy's foster family says she is has a wonderful and loving personality. Some family is going to hit the jackpot with her. And we hope to find that family soon!
Prissy is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
