Lilly's Story...
Lovable Lilly here! She's a 1.5 year old black lab mix that was surrendered to Friendship because her family moved and couldn't take her with them. Lilly is a high energy dog that can be vocal at times. She lived with another dog and young children. She was great with the kids but would get a little rambunctious at times while playing with the other dog. Lilly had a litter of 9 pups in December. She would benefit from some training and will thrive in an active home.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Elyria Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
