Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Trina was far too sensitive and gentle a girl to be wandering the streets alone. And then into a very scary high-kill shelter..not a place for a very sweet and slightly shy pup. Everyone at Farfel's agreed that we needed to rescue and ultimately transport Trina to a new life in Colorado. This stunning (sorry about the just rescued photo...but a sudsy bath will bring out the gorgeous silkiness of her coat) 9 - 12 month old, 9 lb Westie/Poodle mix (or so the shelter and Texas vets have told us) is just a lovely girl! When she saw our rescuer arriving to scoop her up lovingly from her cage, Trina lit up. She knew, without question, that her life was about to go through some wonderful changes! Off she went to be fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, HW tested, etc.. and that all-important temperament testing. We're so delighted that Trina passed her vet exams as well as her temperament testing with flying colors!! The tester was moved by Trina's slightly shy and gentle nature and all the love in her heart that was just waiting to burst forth. As she handed Trina back to us she said, "go out and get this lovely pup a truly wonderful permanent home. She will make some family the world's greatest companion." And then she gave Trina a huge kiss (returned by Trina of course). Farfel's is searching for a super-loving and gentle home for this exceptional girl. We'd like either an adult-only or gentle children 12+ family for Trina...she's a gentle soul who would appreciate the quieter and more orderly environment of this kind of home. She would so enjoy the beautiful paths of Colorado - she loves walks and could be a great companion visiting with dog-friendly neighbors as she enjoys her outside time. We would like a family that spends lots of time at home... or loves bringing a wonderful pup with them riding shotgun. Trina is so pleasant and low-maintenance that she's always a pleasure to spend time with. She is great with other dogs as long as they're very gentle and don't expect wild playing. Trina is a non-shedding girl with a cotton-soft coat that will require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep it healthy and matt-free.
Trina will arrive on transport in Denver on 8/14. If interested in this exceptional companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
