My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Cairn Terrier/Border Terrier mix is a perfect combo for those who are searching for an extremely smart and loyal family dog. Of utmost importance...both breeds are famous for their great temperaments and extremely loving and snuggly ways. They're also known to be trustworthy and very kind with family members and other gentle pets. Simba is a very social being and therefore requires a certain number of neighborhood walks with socialization. At any time a fun adventure is the order of the day - count him in! These mixes are known to engage joyfully and energetically and then crash on the couch snuggling close to their favorite humans and canines. Simba is an absolutely adorable and sweet guy who favors the intellect of the Cairn while taking on the very engaging qualities of the Border Terrier. Simba appears to be a non-shedding pup and will therefore require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep his coat healthy with a golden sheen. As he loses the old hair of his shelter days, Simba's coat will grow in shining and gorgeous.
Simba's sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated...he makes close playmates everywhere he goes. Simba is friendly and that means everyone he meets has the potential to become a close companion. You know when a loved one approaches, Simba's tail starts the greeting and it wiggles up through his entire body ending into a smile. And if your lap is available, up Simba goes to cuddle and snuggle and let you know the level of his devotion. Simba is such a wonderful being...we think he represents the best qualities of the Terrier breed. At about 8 - 10 months old and just about 9 lbs, Simba seems to have completely left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up his early life. He has become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the happier his family is with his behavior, the more he shines with his accomplishments. We would like to see Simba in a home that includes him in family time and activities...he's loves to be involved and would thrive in a family that truly loves him and considers him a very important family member. Simba would be a wonderful companion for retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young pup. Simba doesn't require another dog to be happy...but he does enjoy his canine relationships with kind and gentle dogs.

Simba will arrive on transport in Denver 8/14. If interested in this exceptional companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
