Benji's Story...
Hi- I'm Benji! I was dumped in a Walmart parking lot and left to fend for myself. I was in very bad shape- incredibly ill, emaciated and dehydrated. I had almost given up, but thankfully I was saved just in time. I am now happy, healthy and full of love, lots of play and lots of purrs! I love people and other cats and dogs too. I'm as cute as can be and just a tiny little guy! I am neutered and vetted. I'm ready for a loving, forever home to call my own now. I hope to find one soon!

***Benji's video is from his first moments of rescue (he is 100% healthy now)!***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
