CAP's Story...
Cap is an energetic 18 month old male black and white smooth coated border collie. He is a bald faced BC, which means that he has predominately white on his face. He has prick ears, and one of them is completely black while the other is white with cute mottling on it. Cap is very affectionate with people, however we are still in the process of evaluating his temperament, so watch for updates on his bio. First observation of him is that he is higher energy and will need an active lifestyle that is going to provide mental stimulation.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please go on line and fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CAP, a San Pedro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
