Facts about Crook

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Black (Mostly)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 7418181-Elp-C-Crook
  • Hair: Medium

Sweet little Crook was born around June 2014, along with Fluff and Trouble. She was the result of an elicit affair when her mom snuck out of the house when the parents weren't looking!

Crook is named for the crooks in her tail - 2 of them that in addition to the white smile on her belly really makes this one unique. She loves to chase that crooked tail and is hilarious doing so. This one's a cuddler, often coming to sit in your lap or on your chest. She also is used to sleeping with someone at night, so she's not for you if you lock yours out at night. She, of course, loves to play as well and gets along well with the other cats in the home.

Crook is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She is FIV & FeLV negative. She uses the litter box like a lady and gets along with her house mates. She's a beautiful. loving girl who will make an awesome companion for someone. Is that you?

About Desoto Animal Rescue Society

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of unwanted, abandoned, and abused pets, giving them a second chance at a loving forever home. All animals taken in receive necessary medical care, vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

We are not a shelter with a facility where you can visit our pets. All rescued pets live in our own homes, where they are evaluated and cared for until they find their ideal adoptive family. We carefully screen prospective homes and require all applicants to go through an adoption application process.

We are not affiliated with the Desoto County Animal Shelter or any governmental agency. We do not receive any taxpayer funds. We operate solely on donations and the revenue we generate from fundraising events. 100% of our incoming funds go directly towards the care of our animals and to pay our vet bills. All other expenses are paid for by our own volunteers.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

We've made it very easy for you to donate one time, set up a recurring payment/sponsorship or do a tribute for someone. Everything is on our website here: info@desotoanimalrescue.org

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please see our website for the locations and times of our Adoption Events. We occasionally have special events which we're unable to post on all sites.

Our Adoption Process...

All pets are up-to-date on routine vaccinations and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All dogs are tested heartworm negative and all cats are tested feline aids/feline leukemia negative. We require a pre-adoption application and a home visit. To help cover our veterinary costs, we ask for a $125 adoption donation for dogs and puppies and a $75 adoption donation for cats and kittens.
