Roxy's Story...
Little Roxy was given up by her owner to Animal Control. We believe she was born towards the beginning of July. She will not be officially available for adoption until the beginning of September when she will turn 8 weeks old. In the meantime, we would be open to a foster-to-adopt situation until she is old enough. She is an adorable little puppy that will make a lucky family very happy. She has the cutest "grumpy dog" underbite ever! Due to her small size we are looking to place her in a family without young children. Roxy's adoption fee of $300 goes towards her vet care.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the "Adoption Process" tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested ( as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Romeoville Chihuahua/Cairn Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Cairn Terrier for sale in Romeoville, or seeking a Chihuahua/Cairn Terrier puppy from a breeder in Romeoville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romeoville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romeoville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romeoville paves the way for another one to be saved.
