Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The phrase “Be Kind, I’m Blind” does not fit Gidget as this very sweet 8 year old Maltese/Poodle does not realize she has a visual deficit as this gradually occurred 2 years ago. She is an avid walker and is in front of the pack when walking with other dogs. She is very smart and quickly adapts to new surroundings. This happy little dog is very attentive and follows basic commands. She quickly maps out the floor layout in a home, established her favorite spot on the sofa, and enjoys sleeping near her foster mom. When Gidget is outside she knows exactly where the walkways connect to the house and yard. Gidget is a very easy dog to foster as she rarely barks only when she wants to come in from the outside or when it is feeding time. She gets along nicely with dogs of all sizes and is very tolerant with playful puppies.
Gidget is truly amazing! By no means, does Gidget act like a disabled dog. Now all Gidget needs is a forever family.
