Gidget's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Gidget's Story...
The phrase “Be Kind, I’m Blind” does not fit Gidget as this very sweet 8 year old Maltese/Poodle does not realize she has a visual deficit as this gradually occurred 2 years ago. She is an avid walker and is in front of the pack when walking with other dogs. She is very smart and quickly adapts to new surroundings. This happy little dog is very attentive and follows basic commands. She quickly maps out the floor layout in a home, established her favorite spot on the sofa, and enjoys sleeping near her foster mom. When Gidget is outside she knows exactly where the walkways connect to the house and yard. Gidget is a very easy dog to foster as she rarely barks only when she wants to come in from the outside or when it is feeding time. She gets along nicely with dogs of all sizes and is very tolerant with playful puppies.

Gidget is truly amazing! By no means, does Gidget act like a disabled dog. Now all Gidget needs is a forever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a San Diego Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup)/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup)/Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup)/Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup)/Maltese breeders who help with Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup)/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
