Winnie's Story...
Winnie is a sweet 14# dachshund chihuahua mix girl who came from a rural shelter in south Georgia. She is very sweet, smart and playful. She would make an incredible family pet. She loves to go for rides in a basket on her foster mom's bicycle! Winnie came to DREAM infected with heartworms but now she has finished her treatment and is ready for her new home. The veterinarian says Winnie will have many years of love to share with her adoptive human companions. Winnie's adoption fee is $300 which will go toward her vetting and heartworm treatment. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Decatur Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
