for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Rose's Info...

I am a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Rose's Story...
Rosie is a little doll! She has a deformation in her lumbar spine and is unable to use her back legs properly. But she doesn't know she's not like the other kittens...Rose races up and down the stairs and is often found at the top of the cat tree. She plays with toys by herself but also loves for her human companion to play with her. She is able to use the litter box appropriately, as long as it has low sides. She is not in any pain and has been checked by two different vets and a veterinary specialist.

Rose would probably do best in an adult home or a home with older children. She enjoys the company of another cat and is currently fostered with Octavia, another special needs kitten.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rose, a Rochester Colorpoint Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Colorpoint Shorthair for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Colorpoint Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Colorpoint Shorthair breeders who help with Colorpoint Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
